Viva Las Vegas Baby

This one cracks me up. I look like a goon!!! At least my baby is cute. ; )
The first part of November we took a weekend trip to Vegas. Hazel really worked the strip. Especially pointing at people--it really wins everyone over. (I'll show some in upcoming posts.) She was a little out of her element and not her normal, happy self. So, we kept it low key and didn't see a lot of the Vegas lights and casinos. Fine by me--my lungs were thanking me as well. ; )

We did visit one of my best friends from growing up, Sarah, and her family a couple times and it was great to see them again. Sorry I didn't get pics, Sarah. Next time!!!

How can you not be happy with a big ball of cotton candy in your face?!

We bounced around to a couple of hotels since Conor found deals at each one. The weather was gorgeous--in the 80s--so we had to go swimming! Hazel doesn't look thrilled but I think we got her up from her nap and went. Her suit said it was a 12 month size and we barely got her stuffed into it. She has more cleavage than me in several of the shots. haha!

She finally warmed up to the idea of swimming and had a good time playing in the kiddie area.

Hazel's 1st Halloween

Yes, I know we're a couple holidays and a new year beyond Halloween. But how could I pass up this cute little pumpkin?! Her outfit no longer fit so I stuck on the pumpkin hat and some slippers. She still worked it and scored some candy from the neighbors. That's my girl!!!!

Fall Birthday's

In 2012 we started celebrating birthday's quarterly with my family. It was becoming difficult to get together for every birthday. For Fall we celebrated at our home. We had a taco bar, pinata, and cupcakes. Shane, Ryker, Malia, and Elizabeth were the birthday kids.

If it's your birthday you get to swing at the pinata. This is a new family tradition and it's my favorite part!!! I think it started up again (kind of as a joke) when we celebrated my birthday this past summer. One of my treasured memories growing up is when I held my pinata party around age 10. Malia wanted to recreate it for my present. I was SO excited and it was a big hit with the kids getting all the loot.

Malia, Ryker, Shane & Elizabeth

It took him a while to bust it open. I'm sure it was the quality pinata purchased from Wal-Mart. Had we known, Malia would've had a few more swings!!!

Granny's Fall Visit

Patricia was visiting this past fall and brought Granny and Kip (my dad's cousin) down to my parents for the day. Somehow Patricia and Kip evaded the camera . . .

October Fun

Our silly little monkey during month of October. Hazel loves to hug and cuddle her stuffed animals. Her lion was her favorite the past few months.

I know her eyes are closing, but this made me laugh. She loves my red heels and was admiring the point. Now I've taught her to play with Conor's shoes.

Pouting while I was getting ready. We all know I take too long. I thought it was cute. ; )
Daddy's little helper.
Mommy's little helper? Hazel is obsessed with paper and makes a mess of it. I went through old copies of piano music and let her go to town!!!

I need to work on getting Hazel to look at the camera. AND smile!!! : )

Who loves food?

These were all taken during the month of October. Fun to look back and see how much Hazel has changed since then. She still has about the same amount of hair, too. Someday it will grow and she still won't like me fixing it. ; ) This girl has a healthy appetite and love for food. (Just like her parents!)

Hazel crawled into the pantry and the only thing she picked out was a rootbeer milk. Then she came out and handed it to me to put the straw in. She is her father's daughter!!! 9 1/2 mon. old.

The Bumbo days. Patiently waiting for some grub. : )

Aggressively attaching her turkey slices. 10 mon. old.
Who doesn't love Nielsen's Frozen Custard?!
Licking every bit of it that she can.
Hazel used to love eating paper. This was printed off and folded in a travel book to plan a trip. Good thing I stopped her in time before our itinerary was lost! haha!
You know Hazel is tuckered out if she falls asleep before eating!!!!!! : )
