Leaping into Love

Pink Overload--but it was Valentine's Day!

Happy Leap Year!!! It's only fitting I post the pics of Hazel in her outfit with frogs and some from Valentine's Day. At least I thought so . . .

Lately I've taken her out, without anything on her head, and people told me I had a cute little boy. Hey, just because I like green, does NOT mean I have a boy! Now I make it a point to put a headband and flower on her before we leave the house. Or at least be sporting some pink or purple. Not really my favorites, but she is a little girl, after all. lol!

Ready to go for a walk. Just waiting on me to get ready.
How can you not love this smile?!

She fell asleep before I got her in the sling.

My sweet little Valentine! She was super smiley this day.
We like to think this is the smile she makes while laughing. Only no sound comes out! : 0

I know you can't really tell but she's standing up and I'm  just supporting her arm slightly.
Waiting for mom--again--get used to it!!!
Conor is one lucky guy, I tell you! Look at his two lovely Valentine's!!!

Shades, Smiles & Shots

In February I actually started taking more photos and documenting our lives--and Haze's growth--better.

7 wks. old
Wrapped in the sling Judy made while she was here in December. I took Hazel for a walk--she loves getting out!
Conor and Hazel on Groundhog's Day . . . I mean Conor's birthday.
We all went for a walk. Hazel won the best dressed award.
Sporting her sweet shades! Maybe a little big--but they're awesome. Thanks Aunt Malia!
This one just cracks me up! Sometimes she smiles really big, closes her eyes and moves her head back and forth.
Hazel & Mom. 8 wks. old.
Playing with Mom.
This is my money maker outfit. What exactly is that, you ask? What I wore when I met Conor!!! : )
Some people think our baby never cries.
Bandaids from her 2 month shots. Thus the onset of sporadic crying shown above.

Smiling after I changed her diaper. Don't you love the sleep sack drowning her? One size doesn't fit all!!!!

A New Baby, A New Year

Happy 2012!!! We started out this year much different than last. Change is good.

Hazel was able to meet all of my grandparents that are living--which are her great-grandparents. We took a trip up to Idaho to see some of them the middle of January since the weather was nice and no chance of snow. For some reason almost all of the pics I took in January she was sleeping. She looks so sweet when she's sleeping, so that must be why.

Just a snapshot from her photo shoot at 3 weeks. As you can all see, I don't torture her!
Great-grandma Teener's (Colleen) & Hazel. Freddie ran away before I could get a pic with him. Next time!
Teener's mother was named Hazel and that's where our little Hazel got her name--we just loved it!
I thought this was funny with her hands by her face.
Apparently someone else found this humorous. We were both exhausted!!!
Getting ready for church--Dad brushing her hair.
3 1/2 weeks old. Her tights were still baggy. Those are NOT my calves--I wish!!!
Great-grandma Kay & Hazel
Great-grandpa Deo & Hazel
Great-grandma Percy (Persis) & Hazel
Hazel was one month old.
Doing some tummy time on the Boppy, trying to escape.

5 weeks
I just love this little outfit for church. It was drowning her but still adorable.  5 1/2 wks. old.
She loves walks in her carrier where she can face forward. All bundled up!
Pop & Hazel--Conor said they're buddies and she wanted to hang out with him. They're about the same size!
Patiently waiting for Conor and I to get ready for church.  6 1/2 wks. old.

2 Weeks

We all know I'm horrible at blogging. I actually have a bunch of pics ready for posts from 2011 events. I prepared them before Hazel was born and didn't get around to posting them. Maybe I'll do it soon but don't hold your breath!

Hazel has grown so much! We know she's still rather small for her age, but looking at these makes me realize how much she's changed. So fun! But I do miss the petite, tiny girl I could pack around in the crook of my arm.

These are all from within a couple days of her two-week mark.

Showing off her monkey butt!
Both of our sisters--Malia and Brenna--making hair things.
Malia made this headband for Hazel and wanted to see how it looked.
She also did her bundle wrap job--she slept forever and was nice and toasty!
Sleeping with grandpa--and modeling another hair thing I made--kinda crazy looking! lol
Conor baking Korean chicken wings.
We all ate lunch with Conor at his work while his family was visiting for the holidays.
He's obviously not worried about appearing on his work's slideshow the way his office looks.
He commutes to and from work on his bike, like in Houston. I'm glad he has room to store it all. lol!

I know you can't really tell--but Hazel is actually standing on her feet.  It's really quite amazing.
Something she has done since birth. We just support her arms/upper body--I love it!!!
Yes, I love monkeys. No, not everything she wears has a monkey. But it was a cute outfit and had to have it!
Poor thing has no idea what's coming.
Wouldn't you be crying, too?!
I swear they sucked all the blood out of her--check out her foot!
At her 2 wk.  appt. weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. 21.5 in. long
When she was born she was 6 lbs. 12 oz. and 18.5 in. long
Napping with grandpa--their favorite pastime.
Hazel's first time for a "real" bath in our tub. Complete with bubbles and toys--she liked it!
Daddy's girl for sure! He's so good to care for her as you can see. : )
