I knew it was only a matter of time before Hazel would be walking. She started walking in January, around 13 months old. No, I don't recall the exact date of my first child walking. Sue me. We were just excited for her to enjoy more mobility and freedom. With each major milestone she has been happier with more independence. We didn't encourage her walking or help her at all. Mostly because I liked her contained and not getting into everything. I was just buying time, but she did rather well with walking when she figured it out. Now she's off and running!!!!
