Camping

It had been months since we went camping and I was dying to go. With summer winding down, we figured we better go. It was the middle of August so we traveled to East Fork Blacks Fork in the Uintas to escape the heat and people. We had amazing weather!!! Zero mosquitoes and only a few drops of rain on our hike at the top of the mountain. Could've done without the flies--but it was great and so relaxing!

Totally zonked out!
I taught Conor about pine pitch "balls". We had to stop at every tree to collect more. Cracked me up!

Giggle Bug

Hazel is hilarious when she's on a laughing kick. THE cutest laugh ever. I wish I had recorded it a few months ago. She doesn't do it quite like she used to.

Happy Birthday To ME

Another year has come and gone and I keep getting younger. It's amazing. I turned 30. Again. Just ask my mom! : ) Conor was working in North Dakota so Hazel and I got dolled up, went shopping, and my parents invited us over for dinner and dessert. (Hazel was about 8 months here.)

Apparently my necklace was more interesting than anything else going on. All I wanted was a pic of her smiling in the camera. Total fail. But we're still cute!!!

Who's Hungry?!

One of Hazel's favorite things to do now is eat! Haven't really found anything she doesn't like. But we only feed her "real" food and that may make a difference. The only baby food she's had is rice cereal. Mostly she has eaten fresh fruit since my parents have fruit trees. So nice! Plus I feel it's healthier and better for you. These were all taken beginning of August, before Hazel was 8 months old.

This is just a funny pic of her pooped out and sleeping in the carseat after errands.

Super strong legs! She loves to stand on them!!!

HAFB Museum

Malia and I have never been to the HAFB Museum. Some find this ironic considering we lived relatively close growing up, and our dad worked on base. Since she was taking care of my Dad this summer, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to go! We were a little rushed and didn't get to see everything, but what a wonderful place of history. So many planes and displays to look at--I'll have to go back again when I have more time. The day we went there was a rocket launch for kids. Tayden, Ryker & Kormyck (with help) built their rockets and watched them shoot into the sky. They loved it!

Hazel, Ty & Kormyck patiently waiting during rocket building.
